Aspects of magazine advertisements to use

As with this advertisement from Q Magazine for the album Making Mirrors by Gotye, my advertisement will feature an image of the Digipak cover, though the image may be smaller. The name of the band in my chosen font will be a central or large part of the design, as well as the album name. A release date will be detailed on the lower section of the advertisement. Other text will make it clear that the album is new, and will feature a handful of songs implied to have been released earlier in the year was singles. A song may be listed as successful or as a #1 hit, implying the success the band have had in the UK charts.

The advertisement itself will be comprised of a large image in a similar design to the Digipak. To confirm the artistic creditability of the album to any of the perhaps wary consumers, high star-based ratings will be featured from a wide range of reputable music publications dealing in the Indie genre. A fabricated quote could also be included to encourage the consumer to listen to the seemingly acclaimed Digipak.

The website of the band will be listed in small print to provide further information for the consumer. The band's record label will be a small yet important aspect of the design, providing the company on which the Digipak is released with publicity. Part of the design of the advertisement may be an extended or larger version of the Digipak cover art, continuing the motif of the Digipak and giving potential consumers a clear design to look for on the shelves of a music shop.

  1. You need to post more research into album cover art or images that have formed your ideas.

Also more details of the development of your planning ideas for your print productions. This is very important.
